Tout comme mon châle Wilshire, cette écharpe a été tricotée d'après une idée de Dee O'Keefe. La réalisation de ce modèle aussi s'est révélée un tricot facile et relaxante. Cependant, ce qui a rendu le tricot de la 'Liz Stole' particulièrement captivant, ce sont les bandes aux mailles différentes.

Just like my Wilshire shawl I knitted this stole from a design by Dee O'Keefe. The realization of this model also turned out to be an easy and relaxing knit. What really made the 'Lize Stole' interesting were the bands with different stitches.

Net als mijn sjaal Wilshire is ook deze stola gebreid naar een ontwerp van Dee O'Keefe. De uitvoering van ook dit model bleek een makkelijke en ontspannende bezigheid. Wat het breien van 'Liz Stole' echter bijzonder boeiend hield, waren de banden met verschillende steken.

La réalisation de la 'Lize Stole' commence par un montage provisoire sur une chaîne en crochet, après lequel on tricote la première partie de l'écharpe. Ensuite, on retire la chaîne en crochet et on met toutes les mailles sur l'aiguille afin de tricoter la deuxième partie en sens inverse. Ingénieux et invisible !
The 'Liz Stole' starts with a provisional cast on a crochet chain, after which the first part of the stole can be knitted. Then, you remove the crochet chain and set all the stitches on your needles in order to knit the second part in the opposite direction. Ingenious and invisible !
Het opzetten van de 'Lize Stole' gebeurt met een gehaakte ketting, waarna het eerste deel van de stola kan worden gebreid. Vervolgens haal je de gehaakte ketting uit en zet je alle steken op je breipen om het tweede deel in tegengestelde richting te breien. Ingenieus en onzichtbaar !
J'ai choisi la laine de ma 'Liz Stole' en raison de sa magnifique couleur rouge profond. Malheureusement, l'effet incandescent ne sort pas suffisamment sur les photos.
La teneur en soie élevée rend la laine un peu peluchante, ce qui m'a surpris, vu son prix. Cependant, la laine se comporte avec élégance, et par sa douceur et sa chaleur porter cette étole est un délice.
I chose the wool of my 'Liz Stole' for its beautiful deep red colour. Unfortunately, its glowing effect does not sufficiently show on the photos.
A pity that the high silk content makes the wool a bit fluffy, which surprises me somewhat, given the price tag. But the wool falls elegantly and its softness and warmth make it a toe-curling pleasure to wear this stole.
De wol voor mijn 'Lize Stole' heb ik gekozen omwille van de prachtige dieprode kleur, waarvan het gloeiend effect op de foto's helaas onvoldoende te voorschijn komt.
Het hoog gehalte aan zijde doet de wol echter wat pluizen, wat me enigszins heeft verrast, gezien het prijskaartje. Maar de wol valt elegant en door haar zachtheid en warmte is het een teenkrullend genoegen om deze stola te dragen.
