Jours d'Angles est une technique de broderie magnifique mais, en revanche, elle est assez laborieuse.  La découpe prend un temps fou.  Cependant, tous les efforts en valent la peine, car cette technique produit des ouvrages fins et magnifiques.

 

 

 Jours d'Angles is a magnificent embroidery technique, but it is quite laborious.  The cutting takes lots of time.  However, all the effort is worth it, because this technique produces fine and beautiful embroidery.

 

 

 Jours d'Angles vind ik een magnifieke borduurtechniek, maar ze is vrij bewerkelijk.  Het knippen vergt bijzonder veel tijd.  Alle inspanningen zijn echter de moeite waard, want deze techniek levert fijn en prachtig borduurwerk op.

 

 

 

Pour ce modèle j'ai choisi le magnifique lin italien Graziano de 15 fils en blanc optique : un vrai régal à broder dessus.  De plus, le résultat est un napperon raffiné et particulièrement joli.

Pour l'instant, j'ai encore quelques ouvrages de Jours d'Angles en route qui sont presque terminés.  Ils apparaîtront sur mon blog plus tard.

 

 

 For this model I have chosen the beautiful Italian 38 count linen from Graziano in optical white : a real pleasure to work on.  Moreover, the result is a refined doily, delightful to the eye.

In the meantime I have set up a few more works in Jours d'Angles, which are almost finished.  They will also appear on this blog in due course.

 

 

 Voor dit model heb ik het prachtige Italiaanse 15 draads linnen van Graziano in optisch wit gekozen : een waar genoegen om hierop te borduren.  Bovendien is het resultaat een geraffineerd kleedje, een plezier voor het oog.

Intussen heb ik nog een paar werkjes in Jours d'Angles opgezet, die bijna klaar zijn.  Die komen mettertijd ook wel op dit blog.

HARDANGER - Otoño

 

J'ai brodé ce napperon en hardanger d'après un modèle de Carpacar.

 

I embroidered this hardanger doily from a Carpacar model.

 

Dit kleedje in hardanger heb ik geborduurd naar een model van Carpacar.

 

 

 Le centre de cet ouvrage est particulièrement attrayant et mérite toute l'attention.  C'est pourquoi j'ai omis la broderie environnante prévue dans le projet de Carpacar.  Pour le reste j'ai suivi minutieusement le modèle original.

 

 

 The centre of this work is particularly attractive and deserves all attention.  This is why I have omitted the surrounding embroidery as proposed in Carpacar's pattern.  Apart from that I have followed the original model meticulously.

 

 

 Het centrum van dit borduurwerk is bijzonder attractief en verdient dan ook alle aandacht.  Daarom heb ik het omringend borduurwerk, zoals voorzien in het ontwerp van Carpacar, niet uitgewerkt.  Maar verder heb ik het oorspronkelijk model nauwgezet gevolgd.

 

 

 Comme toujours, aussi bien l'explication que le patron sont impeccables et très clairs, faisant des modèles de Mamen Arias (Carpacar) un pur plaisir à broder.

 

 

 As always, both explanation and pattern are perfect and very clear, making the models of Mamen Arias (Carpacar) a pure pleasure to embroider.

 

 

 Zoals altjd zijn zowel de toelichting als het patroon perfect en duidelijk, waardoor de modellen van Mamen Arias (Carpacar) een puur genoegen zijn om te borduren.

 

 

 Pour broder Otoño j'ai choisi le coton à broder plutôt que le perlé en raison de son effet mat, que j'aime bien.

 

 

 To embroider Otoño I chose coton à broder rather than perlé because of its mat effect, which I especially like.

HARDANGER - CARPACAR - Allegro

 

Ayant besoin d'une pause lors de la réalisation de mon grand et difficile projet qui est en route depuis longtemps déjà, je suis partie à la recherche d'une détente agréable.  J'ai trouvé ce qu'il me fallait dans la broderie de ce napperon en hardanger.

 

 

 

To take a break from the large and difficult project I have in progress for quite a long time now, I went looking for some pleasant relaxation.  I found it in the embroidery of this hardanger doily.

 

 

 Ter afwisseling van het groot en moeilijk project dat ik nu al een hele tijd op het getouw heb staan, ben ik op zoek gegaan naar een aangename verpozing.  Die heb ik gevonden in het borduren van dit kleedje in hardanger.

 Mamen est l'une de mes créatrices préférées.  Ses modèles sont exceptionnellement jolis, délicats et pleins de beaux remplissages.  Un pur plaisir pour la brodeuse.

 

 

 Mamen is one of my favourite designers.  Her models are exceptionally beautiful, delicate and full of nice fillings.  A pure pleasure for the embroiderer.

J'ai tiré le modèle de ce napperon ajouré raffiné du livre japonais 'Hardanger Embroidery'.

Il y a quelques années j'ai publié une autre broderie tirée du même livre sur mon blog.
